REVIEW -- Suave Professionals' NEW Moroccan Infusion Line + GIVEAWAY

Hey everyone! Today I have a review of the new Suave Moroccan Infusion line, and Suave has been kind enough to also sponsor a giveaway at the end of the post!
The new Suave Moroccan Infusion line is infused with authentic Moroccan Argan Oil -- a lightweight miracle oil that absorbs instantly to give hair brilliant shine and long lasting conditioning without weighing it down. The products are proven to add shine and condition as well as the Moroccanoil brand treatment!

The products will be available at mass retailers, select drugstores and supermarkets nationwide beginning in January/February 2013 for a suggested retail price of $2.74 - $5.98.
I received the Moroccan Infusion Color Care Shampoo and Conditioner, Deep Conditioning Shine Mask, and Moroccan Argan Styling Oil to review. I've used other Argan Oil products on my hair before, so I was really interested to see how the new Suave line compares. Let me be the first to tell you.. that there IS no comparison. Suave knocks the Organix products I had been using completely out of the ballpark!

First of all, the smell of the products is AMAZING. I don't know how to describe it to you, but it smells exactly like a bath set I received as a Christmas gift from my seventh grade friend Ashley. I had no clue where she bought it, and I loved the smell of that set so much that I almost never wanted to use it. Instead, I would just open it and smell the products and then close them back up. Eventually, I did use them up and it was a very sad day.. So now I'm thrilled that I can enjoy that amazing smell every day and be able to actually USE the products associated with it without the fear of using them up for good!

And the scent is the same across the entire line, which I really like. There are no competing smells, and as you use more of the products from the line, the smell intensifies in your hair ensuring that it smells amazing all day!

But now let's talk quality...

The Color Care Shampoo and Conditioner have helped keep my fresh hair color from fading so far (which happens quickly, since I generally wash my hair every day), and makes my hair soft, shiny, and tangle-free. They lather well and rinse easily, too!

The Deep Conditioning Shine Mask says to leave it on for 3-5 minutes, and I've tried that and also leaving it on overnight. It makes my hair feel like pure silk after I rinse it out! I love it! It's definitely earned a home spot in my shower for weekly use. If your hair is very damaged, it can be used up to twice a week.

Lastly, the Argan Styling Oil has replaced 3 products on my hair shelf. I was using Organix's Light Argan Oil, Crack, and Fekkai's Glossing Creme to smooth and tame my hair. Now I just use the Suave Styling Oil. 2 pumps through my hair is enough, with an extra pump for my ends because my hair is very porous. My hair is naturally very fine and oily (seriously a horrible combination!) and the Suave Argan Styling oil doesn't weigh it down or make it look greasy. All it does is smooth it and give it a gorgeous shine!
If we're being honest.. Suave never used to be a brand that I paid much attention to, but they have SERIOUSLY upped their game over the last 2 years since I started blogging! I've liked every new product that I've tried from them, and the Moroccan Infusion line is no exception!

The smell is amazing, and the products leave my hair soft, shiny, and smooth! And the fact that the Styling Oil was single-handedly able to replace THREE products in my daily hair routine (two of which are costly!) speaks volumes as to how absolutely fantastic this line is.. and the price point is awesome as well!

I love it. I will more of it as soon as my current bottles run out! I'm thrilled to give the new Suave Moroccan Infusion line a PERFECT RATING of 5 out of 5 stars!

NOTD -- "Glittering Mannequin Hands" with Essence!

Hey everyone! Just a quick post for you today. I feel like I may have worn this combo before, but I honestly can't remember. After all the color and glitter I've been wearing lately, I needed something more calm and neutral to help cleanse my palette.

Essence had two of the perfect polishes! Modern Romance is a sheer nude pink with a barely-there microshimmer that is all but non-existent on the nail. It was looking a little blah, so I glitzed it up with Space Queen, which is the bottle I'm holding in the picture above. It is a multi-colored glitter in a clear pink-ish base. The neutral base color of Modern Romance really allows the multi-colored glitter in Space Queen to stand out. In person, you can clearly see blue, green, and orange glitters!

I believe I did 2 coats of each polish, and then I topped it with one layer of top coat. The result is perfect mannquin hands, with a bit of a sparkle. As far as opacity goes, my ring finger is the most accurate. You can see my nail line through the polish on all of my fingers, I don't know why that one is the only one that showed up in the picture.

Normally I get tired of neutrals after like, an hour.. but this has stayed on for 3 days so far. I'm not gonna lie, I'm kind of digging it for right now.. but I'm sure it will get replaced with some crazy glitter or neon polish soon!

We've had the new line in at work for about a month, and I definitely want to try it, but we've had the hardest time keeping it in stock! FRIDAY FAVORITES -- ELF Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths & Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment

Hey everyone! Happy Friday! It's been a LONG time since I've done a Friday Favorite segment, and there's really no other reason than the fact that I've just been feeling uninspired. Besides testing products for reviews, I really haven't strayed outside of my usual products lately.. and if I'm going to review a product, I don't generally like to spoil the surprise with featuring it on a "Friday Favorite", and once I've blogged about a product once, I really don't see the point in featuring it again in what I see as then turning in to a "filler post" so, I've just let the Friday Favorite segment slide for a while.

Side note: Do any other bloggers analyze/over-analyze things like that? I feel like sometimes I overanalyze things to the point of making myself crazy and making the situation way more complicated than it should be.. :\

Anyways, today I have two products that are new-ish to me that I originally had no plans of reviewing, but I like them so much that they can truly be considered "Friday Favorites" ...Let's see what they are!

First up is the ELF Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths. These come in a resealable pack with a snap closure. You get 20 pre-moistened wipes per pack, and they retail for $3. I picked them up at Target. At first, I was kind of on the fence about them. They're VERY thin, and they don't seem like they're that damp, but they really do remove all of my face makeup with one wipe (and I wear a LOT), and they leave behind a nice residue. I know, I know. "Nice" and "residue" don't usually go together, but it's not greasy or sticky at all.. It's kind of moisturizing, and it doesn't seem to make my already oily skin oilier. I feel like they cleanse and moisturize my face in one step, which is awesome when it means I can get in bed that much faster at night!

Next up is the Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment. I have chronically dry lips anyways, but this winter has been ESPECIALLY rough on them. For well over a week, my lips were so dry that it was practically unbearable. They burned, the skin was so tight that it felt like it pulled every time I moved my lips, and I had huge ugly patches of dry skin on my lips that would not come off, no matter what I did or how many lip exfoliating scrubs I used.

I saw the Blistex at WalMart, and thought I might as well give it a try. I can't remember the exact retail price, but I'm positive that it was under $2. And if we're being honest, I only picked it because it was cheaper than the Aquaphor, Vaseline, and Neosporin varieties.

I love that it has a slanted applicator tip, as you can see below. It's easy to squeeze the product out, and it covers your lips well.. although it does tend to leave a bit of a white tinge to them at times (the product is opaque and white). The first night, I slathered the stuff on my lips and they felt so much better when I woke up the next morning. I was able to finally get all of the dry skin off of my lips in the shower with a warm, wet washcloth, and my lips felt very moisturized and hydrated! No burning or skin stretching! I've been keeping this with me and applying it 2-3x a day since, and my lips have been in much better shape. In fact, I can definitely tell if it's time for me to apply it again, as I can feel my lips start to tighten and dry back out. One application of the Blistex puts them right back to normal!

Well, that does it for this installment of my Friday Favorites! Have you ever used either of the products listed? If so, what do you think of them? :)
