REVIEW -- Perfectly Posh Sugar Fix Scrub + A GIVEAWAY!!!

Hey everyone! Recently I was contacted by Aimee, who is an Independent Consultant for Perfectly Posh. I'd never heard of Perfectly Posh before, but once I checked out the fabulous spa and beauty products that they offer, my interest was definitely piqued!

The company was founded in October of 2011 and currently offers over 80 products, and they also have a new line for teens called Pretty Please that just launched as well!

Perfectly Posh products are:
  • Spa-grade products
  • Paraben and Paraffin-free
  • SLS-free
  • Gluten-free
  • Soy-free
  • Using essential oils and fine pthalate-free fragrances
  • Natural: full of butters, oils, and other nourishing ingredients
  • Preserved with gentle, effective Vitamin E

Aimee sent me a full-size Sugar Fix scrub to review, along with a lovely (handwritten!) note, a catalog, and some samples to share with friends, which I thought was very sweet. :)

THE PRODUCT
The first thing I thought when I opened my package was "I know that container!" If you are familiar with The Body Shop body butters... Perfectly Posh uses the exact same container in a bigger size, which is awesome because I love those tubs! They are attractive and very well made.

Sugar Fix comes in a 9oz tub and retails for $20. It can be used before or during your shower and the sweet sugar, almond, and honey scrub will brighten, sweeten, and make your skin glow. It's great for all-over exfoliation to reveal soft, smooth skin and it's also non-greasy.

Brand new Sugar Fix!

MY RESULTS
I guess because of the sugar, honey, and almond I was expecting a light smell? Nope. Sugar Fix's smell is actually quite strong, but that's okay! Know why? Because it smells almost identical to Victoria's Secret Heavenly. Seriously.. if VS Heavenly had a sugar scrub, it would smell just like this!

The scrub itself is actually a bit dense, which makes it kind of hard to scoop out in the shower. However, the benefit to it being dense is that if you accidentally drop what you've scooped out onto the shower floor you can easily pick it up.. that way you don't waste any product! (Trust me, I've already tested this more than once.)

I like using a sugar scrub on my legs before I shave to really exfoliate away any dead skin so that I can get the closest shave possible.. since my hair likes to reappear in 12 hours or less. When I've used Sugar Fix before I shave, I've been able to go THREE WHOLE DAYS without shaving! I think that's awesome!

The scrub is easy to work over your body, although it doesn't really stand up to water. I like to work the scrub in and let it stay on my body while I apply it to different parts, but if the water touches me, Sugar Fix is rinsed off almost immediately. Not a big deal, but worth noting.

I have also used Sugar Fix on my entire body several times now, and each time my skin feels so soft and smooth.. and it's a great prequel to layering with my VS Heavenly lotion and perfume. Hubby told me I smelled amazing the other night, so I'll have to take that as a win!

FINAL VERDICT & RATING
Perfectly Posh's Sugar Fix Scrub is awesome! It smells amazing, makes my skin feel so soft, and will last a long time! I think it's a good value for the price. It's more expensive than other sugar scrubs, but I do appreciate that you're supporting an Independent Consultant with your purchase. Sometimes I would rather know that I'm actually contributing to a person rather than just a corporation.

I will likely be purchasing my own Sugar Fix when this one is empty, and I've been stalking the Perfectly Posh website looking for all the other goodies that I just desperately need to try!

I'm thrilled to give the Sugar Fix Scrub 4.5 out of 5 stars!

RATING: 4.5 out of 5.0 STARS
