Merry Christmas / NOTD

First, I'd like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. I hope you have a wonderful day that is spent with lots of family, love, and laughter.

Chris and I did Christmas with my parents yesterday. We're still trying to figure out what holidays are going to be like now that my Granny isn't with us anymore, and even though there's a bit of hollowness to the season without her.. we're still thankful for the many blessings we have.

Today is a lazy day for us. Due to the nature of Chris' job, he's in between shifts right now, but I think we're going to exchange our gifts and try to see his mom a little later on today. In the meantime, I finally have 2 consecutive full days off to recover from the madness of holiday retail and I'm going to take full advantage of them! Curling up with our furry kids, a cup of hot chocolate supreme, and my last two issues of Allure that I haven't read seem like the perfect way to spend my day. :)

Next, I'd like to take a moment to thank all of you for your love, encouragement and support this year. When I started this blog, I never expected to have as much support and feedback as I've gotten. When I started, getting 10 readers was such a huge achievement.. and now I'm well past 200! I never expected that I would love blogging as much as I do. It's turned from a passion to practically a part-time job, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The more I blog and share with you, the more I want to do so. It's truly one of the most fulfilling things I think I've ever done.

When I started blogging back in March, I also never expected to make as many great and meaningful friendships as I have this year. To those lovely ladies I can't seem to go a day without tweeting, to my FB chatting buddies and the ones I send novel-length emails to or text on a daily basis.. Know that you have enriched my life so much this year and that I value and love each and every one of you more than you can ever imagine. ♥

And lastly... it wouldn't be Christmas if I didn't show you my NOTD, right?! I went super simple and used ChG Holly-Day and Twinkle Lights, and Zoya Sooki for a skittles mani. My thumb on this hand it also red, and then I inverted the red and green nails on the other hand, but still used Twinkle Lights on my ring finger.

Excuse the tip wear.. I'm currently on Day 3 of this mani. :)
This was super simple and I've gotten many compliments on it. I think it's because Twinkle Lights is like a Christmas Party in a bottle! I'm so glad I snagged it when I had the chance. It's the only bottle I saw of it this year!

Again, whether you celebrate Christmas or not, I hope that your day is filled with happiness, celebration and joy...

Tomorrow kicks off my week-long "Best of 2011" series where I share my favorite beauty and nail products of the year with you.. so be sure to check back!
