Ok, so this is going to be a quickie post. I've been lazy on the nail art lately. I go through phases where every manicure is nail art and then periods where I don't do any for a while. Lately I've been a little lazy and I've been supplementing a lot with glitter polish.
I feel like glitter is one of those things that can instantly jazz up your nails without actually having to do any work. It's fabulous. So, in the spirit of glitter.. I give you 2 fun manis that require no skill whatsoever.
OH. And I'd like to apologize for our camera right now. I don't know what's going on with it, but it's having a hard time focusing. I don't know what's up with it. Laaaaaaame. :\
First up, we have Sinful Colors' 'Black on Black' topped with Wet n Wild's 'Party of Five Glitters' which is a great dupe for Deborah Lippmann's fabulously infamous 'Happy Birthday' polish. The price difference between the two? Oh, about $16.
The only visible difference I could see between the polishes is that WnW's polish has small hexagonal glitters while Deborah's doesn't. But if anyone is looking at your nails that closely, I'd be concerned. I originally got a matte top coat to go over this manicure, but I loved it shiny so much that I couldn't bear to make it matte. I guess I'll save that for next time. :)
The second mani is what I'm currently wearing at the moment. It's Wet n Wild's 'Saved by the Blue' which is pictured above (with no topcoat). I had to give it its own picture because it is a gorgeous color. And you can't even see the micro glitter in it. Ugh. We have GOT to get our camera fixed.
Anyways... Then I topped it with Sinful Colors' 'Hottie'. If you haven't seen that polish on its own... Let me show it to you! It's fabulous!
Tell me that's not gorgeous! It's various sizes of round and hex glitters in this pretty cornflower blue jelly. Here's what the completed mani looks like with 2 coats of top coat:
I'm so sad I couldn't get a better picture of it. The lighting and blurriness REALLY don't do it justice. Maybe I can convince the Hubby to make me a cheap light box? Hmm.. I'll have to work on that.
Hopefully my mani ADD will last until Thursday. I think I'm going to have to get my nails filled earlier than I'd like. On top of the half crackle nails I did about a week ago and these two looks, I've also had about 4 polish changes that didn't make it longer than 16 hours a piece, so my poor nails have been through a lot and my acrylic is starting to become very unhappy. Oh well!
I hope y'all have had a wonderful weekend and I'll talk to you soon! Byeeeee!
